Lazy S Hacienda Editorial

It all began with a dream…

When we moved from Hawai’i to Texas, I knew I wanted to start shooting weddings at locations that were completely different from the vibrant palm tree beaches that I had grown used to photographing. After getting to know the DFW area more and learning about all of the gorgeous wedding venues, one stuck out in my mind.

Lazy S Hacienda is a stunning β€œmodern Mexican” venue that utilizes sleek lines and beige, earthy tones to create a gorgeously unique space for lovers. It truly sticks out among the endless white barn-type of venues that DFW is known for. It is also Veteran-owned, powered by solar panels, and focuses on using renewable resources! For those reasons, I knew I wanted to host a photoshoot there, asap.

Darion was my venue point of contact and she was the MOST helpful with planning my dream styled editorial! I can’t thank her enough.

I teamed up with my fellow photographer friend Kaitlin, of Foxbelle Weddings, to conceptualize and plan the entire editorial. We spent hours finding vendors, coordinating details, solidifying our styled and moodboard, and reaching out to other photographers who might want to attend the photoshoot. All of our hard work really paid off :)

Our theme was β€œParisian Rose,” and focused on fresh spring beauty with a romantic European influence. Blushes and pastel blues sprinkled throughout the venue and our details, light beige wicker chairs brought a sense of lightness to the style. Everything truly came together perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier!!
